Carbide Wood

About the Carbide Wood range

Durable carbide-tipped teeth with variable pitch. The purchase price of carbide blades is relatively high, but the cutting edge is long-lasting and the cuts produced are exceptionally smooth and high quality.

Materials:

  • Soft and hard wood,
  • exotic woods,
  • wood-based semi-finished products (veneers, plywood, etc.),
  • cutting along and across the grain, abrasive materials (e.g. pertinax, glass-filled plastics, graphite, etc.).

Who it is for:

Established and professional manufacturers, manufacturers working with exotic and precious woods, workshops with well-adjusted band saws

Features and benefits:

  • Durability. Carbide-tipped teeth provide significantly higher tool life and edge durability compared to blades with hardened teeth.
  • Smooth cut. Precisely ground teeth (not set), each tooth cuts across the full width. As a result, the cut surface is smoother than with blades with set teeth.
  • Variable pitch. Tooth pitch ranges from 12 to 16 mm; the advantage of this variability is reduced vibration during cutting.
  • Material savings. The resulting kerf is narrow, only 1,2 mm wide. This produces less waste when cutting and saves material.
  • Also suitable for medium-sized band saws. Thanks to the small thickness of 0,6 mm the blades can also be used on band saws whose wheels have a smaller diameter (at least 300 mm), without the risk of blade cracking.

Band saw blades for wood

We offer band saw blades for wood in three variants:

dudrsaw

Carbon Flexback joinery (woodworking) band saw blades

Carbon Flexback band saw blades for joinery workshops, made from carbon steel, are toothed, set and hardened to 62 HRC. For hobby and professional use. Carbon Flexback carpentry band saw blades have universal use; they cut soft and hard wood along and across the grain, laminates, plywood, plastics and synthetic materials. The hardened cutting edge gives you long blade life and thanks to the perfectly executed weld the blade will not bounce in the cut and the cut surface will be straight and smooth.

RipperS PREMIUM headrig band saw blades

RipperS PREMIUM headrig band saw blades for log breakdown. Available in versions for hard or soft wood. RipperS PREMIUM headrig band saw blades with large teeth (tooth pitch 22,2 mm) are available in a carbon steel version with hardened teeth and also in a BIMETAL PREMIUM version with HSS teeth (the BIMETAL PREMIUM version is manufactured in 34 × 0,9 mm and 34 × 1,1 mm sizes). The tooth geometry is adapted either for cutting hard or for cutting soft wood. We can also manufacture the geometry exactly to suit your requirements.

Carbide Wood band saw blades

Durable carbide teeth with variable pitch will easily cope not only with woods of different hardness (including exotic hardwoods), but also with other materials such as graphite, pertinax, etc. Blades with carbide teeth are intended primarily for established manufacturers who appreciate perfectly executed details.

Please recommend a suitable band saw blade for the Holzmann Maschinen BBS 350 bandsaw. Blade length 2750mm. For softwood. Cutting height up to 280mm

Good day, for the cutting height you mentioned, I would choose the largest tooth from our offer: 2 Hook - the blade is primarily intended for cutting hardwood, but it is not a problem to cut softwood with this blade as well. Regards, Team Dudr.

Good day, even this best band has a maximum cutting height of 200mm. What is then used for higher cuts? The saws can easily handle over 400mm. Thanks

Good day, thank you for your inquiry. This is just a recommended value, but the band can also cut a cutting height of 400mm. For logs, we recommend RipperS PREMIUM bands with a tooth pitch of TPI 1.1. However, these bands are manufactured from a width of 32mm.

Sincerely, Dudr team.

Good day, I have a Basato 3 saw, mostly I roughly cut fruit wood up to 205 mm on it. My blades are already dull and I am looking for some new ones, please advise me which ones to choose. I was interested in CarbideWood, that it would better tolerate the dirt that is sometimes in the wood from various gardens, but I don't know if the saw would tolerate a width of 20. Or is it better to use some kind of log saw blade? I would like a fast cut of fresh wood with good guidance. Pruning and cleanliness are quite irrelevant.

Good day, you can use CarbideWood 13mm. The second option is some more durable wider blade. For example Flexback 16x0.65 3skip

Good day, I would like to ask about the Carbide Wood band. The description states a cutting height of 0-200mm, while other types of bands always include the minimum suitable material thickness. Does this mean that the Carbide Wood band can cut both thin and thick pieces of wood well across the entire range of 0-200mm? Thank you in advance for your answer

Good day, Yes, with the CarbideWood band, you can cut with high quality throughout the entire range of 0-200mm, including very thin material such as veneers. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Have a nice day Kamil Šimeček 776872258 Simonds Saw Bands
