Suitable for splitting beef and pork and for cutting meat with bone. The narrow kerf (only 0,16 mm per side) ensures less waste and thus higher yield during deboning.

This band saw blade is also popular among veneer processors, processors of precious materials and polystyrene, who appreciate it for its narrow set, small kerf, low material loss and clean cut.

We weld the blades to the required length according to your wishes and requirements.

Hello, the bandsaw blades I have been buying for a few months now last about 3 days and they snap right at the weld, now I have put a slightly thicker one in my cart to see if it works better

Hello, thank you for your message and for the trust you continue to place in our products.
First of all, we would like to clarify a detail: the Meat&Fish 20 Ă— 0.55 TPI 4 Hook Ă— 1250 blade you ordered actually has the same thickness as the Meat&Fish 16 Ă— 0.5 TPI 4 Hook Ă— 1250. Unfortunately, there is an error in the product descriptions (0.5 and 0.55 mm), but both blades have the same thickness. The difference is therefore in the width: 20 mm instead of 16 mm.
In any case, for your new order, we will have the blades welded on a different welding machine and by another operator to try to rule out any problems related to the weld.
We would also like to ask you a few questions:
Have you noticed any other small cracks on the blades, besides the breakage in the weld area? If so, do they start from the base of the teeth or from the back edge of the blade? This could indicate that the blade is subjected to excessive stress during operation.
What is the wheel diameter of your bandsaw? Could you also tell us the make and model of the machine?
How many hours a day do you use the blade on average?
When you lay a broken blade on a flat surface, for example on the floor, do the ends tend to lift? This could indicate deformation of the blade due to excessive stress.
We would also like to propose a possible alternative.
If the problem persists and your saw has very small diameter wheels, for example around 100 mm, we could try a thinner blade with a thickness of 0.36 mm and a width of 16 mm (or 10 or 13 mm).
These blades are designed primarily for cutting wood, but due to their reduced thickness, they are subjected to less stress when passing over small-diameter wheels and could therefore perform better on your saw and have a longer lifespan.
Currently, these blades are not available in our e-shop, but upon request, we can provide them for a trial.
Thank you for your cooperation and we wish you a good day at work! Sincerely, the Dudrsaw team
