Simonds International is the oldest company in North America engaged in the manufacture of band saw blades. It has been convincing customers of the quality of its products since 1832. The company motto is "The Professional Edge". High demands are therefore placed on manufacturing quality, as evidenced for example by the quality certificate ISO 9001 2015. The aim of the company is not only to manufacture perfect products, but also to provide high-quality service and consultancy. Despite the continuously increasing quality, consideration is given to the consumer and thus to price affordability. Simonds International has hundreds of thousands of square metres of production facilities worldwide. It offers its customers a wide range of top-quality tools designed for efficient and effective cutting of metal, wood, paper and plastics.

Simonds International is a pioneer in innovation – it was the first company in the world to manufacture a saw with teeth set to the sides (set teeth), in 1963 it developed and launched a band saw blade with carbide tips and in 1968 it developed and patented bimetal band saw blades. As a world leader it sets the direction of development for metal-cutting band saw blades. It is largely thanks to this company that today all manufacturers of band saw blades and band saws specify band saw blade widths in inches (13 mm = ½ inch, 27 mm = 1 inch, 54 mm = 2 inches etc.), as well as the tooth pitch (TPI), which is also given in inches. M42 and M51 are designations of materials according to the American AISI standard. Today, following SIMONDS, these designations are used by all manufacturers of band saw blades worldwide.

Simonds band saw blades:

• have variable tooth pitch to minimise vibration, tooth set (wavy set) for a smooth and clean cut, tooth height for stable and quiet running in the cut and rake angle for optimal chip formation
• are made from top-quality triple-tempered Swedish and Japanese steel
• have tooth tips treated against damage
• are welded in the state-of-the-art Dudr Company welding shop on German IDEAL Werk machines

The company Dudr has been operating on the market since 1992. It was founded in Zlín by designer and toolmaker Ing. Pavel Dudr Sr., who specialised in the manufacture of splitting and tannery knives for splitting leather (cutting hides into individual layers). During the 1990s he purchased additional machines and expanded the range to include headrig band saw blades for wood and bimetal band saw blades for metal. In 2004 he invited his sons Tomáš and Pavel into the business, and in 2005 they founded their own companies and took over parts of the production portfolio.

Over the years we sold bimetal blades of various brands. However, it turned out that some customers were not satisfied with them and the quality of deliveries varied. In 2005 we started cooperation with Simonds International and found what we were looking for – consistent quality, versatility, fast delivery and investment in innovation. We continue to work with this manufacturer to the satisfaction of our customers to this day. We are the exclusive distributor of Simonds band saw blades in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine.

In 2016 we purchased a production hall in Tlumačov near Zlín, which we refurbished, and a year later we moved there from rented production premises in Zlín. We continue to grow and modernise.
