Carbide Wood band saw blades are among the very best you can find on the market. Durable teeth with variable pitch easily cope not only with woods of different hardnesses, but also with other materials. The purchase price of carbide blades is relatively high, but the cutting edge is long-lasting and the cuts produced are exceptionally smooth and high quality.

Blades with carbide teeth are intended primarily for established manufacturers who appreciate perfectly executed details. They are also suitable for those who work with exotic or expensive woods – thanks to the narrow kerf, less waste is produced when cutting, which ultimately saves material.

If your band saw is perfectly set up, all the teething problems have been eliminated and your production process runs smoothly, it is the ideal time to take the next step and try carbide blades. We can definitely recommend them and will be happy to help interested users with selection.

Basic information

  • versatile blade with carbide teeth
  • blade thickness 0,6 mm, available in widths 13, 20, 25 and 30 mm
  • pitch 1,5–2 TPI
  • possible cutting height from 0 to 200 mm
  • suitable for large and medium band saws

Who the blade is for

  • established and professional manufacturers
  • manufacturers working with exotic and precious woods
  • workshops with well-adjusted band saws

Materials

  • soft and hard wood
  • exotic woods
  • wood-based semi-finished products (veneers, plywood, etc.)
  • cutting along and across the grain
  • abrasive materials (e.g. pertinax, glass-filled plastics, graphite, etc.)
  • handles both small and large dimensions

Features and benefits

  • Durability. Carbide-tipped teeth provide significantly higher tool life and edge durability compared to blades with hardened teeth.
  • Smooth cut. Precisely ground teeth (not set), each tooth cuts across the full width. As a result, the cut surface is smoother than with blades with set teeth.
  • Variable pitch. Tooth pitch ranges from 12 to 16 mm; the advantage of this variability is reduced vibration during cutting.
  • Material savings. The resulting kerf is narrow, only 1,2 mm wide. This produces less waste when cutting and saves material.
  • Also suitable for medium-sized band saws. Thanks to the small thickness of 0,6 mm the blades can also be used on band saws whose wheels have a smaller diameter (at least 300 mm), without the risk of blade cracking.

They can be purchased in the band saw blades for wood section. You can adjust the length to suit your band saw.
